Job Description

The role of the Business Analyst is to analyse, refine and document business requirements, and manage the acceptance of these by the relevant Business users. The BA prepares the business requirements in the agreed formats to enable the development teams to complete configuration and development of the solution. They are also expected to work throughout the project life cycle from project initiation and inception, and then through elaboration and construction. They will form key relationships with both business and solution delivery teams.

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Elaborating business needs and requirements into functional specifications 
  • Managing the Business approval of requirements 
  • Walking through the requirements with the configuration and development teams
  • Supporting the creation of Test scripts by the test team 
  • Reviewing any changes of requirements to assess the impact of the change

The successful candidate will have;

* A minimum of 5 years experience of Guidewire PolicyCenter
* Detailed insurance knowledge including lines of business, best practice, and end to end processes
* A track record of gaining an understanding of customer's needs and delivering excellent customer service
* A track record of constantly looking for ways to do things better and an excellent understanding of the mechanism necessary to successfully implement change
* Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences
* Contributed productively to team objectives, including both supporting and leading activities to achieve shared goals
