Job Description

My client are a leading Events Management company based in the centre of Bromley. Their offices are absolutely stunning. They are looking for a Technical Manager To assist the Expo team with all events including logistical organisation, event management and transport. To take ownership of the logistical requirements of all expo projects under your remit, whilst overseeing the client relationship and budget control. Responsible for managing key account deliverables against the scope of work. Add value to the existing Team with industry knowledge and share best practice and policies development

Flexible working hours - some weekends and evenings.

Client Servicing (70%)

  • Act in accordance with client’s service agreements and adhere to their regulations
  • Research and recommend appropriate venues in line with brief for expo
  • Negotiate with suppliers to ensure contracts provide clients with the best offering
  • Coordinate logistics planning and lead Work In Progress calls
  • Provide on-site management of expo set up
  • Management of on-site suppliers
  • Implement contingency plans as needed on-site and solve problems seamlessly working within relevant guidelines to manage bespoke event themes
  • Awareness and understanding of staging and technical elements
  • Experience in working within appropriate guidelines to manage bespoke expo events
  • Coordinate logistics planning for all expo events
  • Ensure risk assessments are completed for each expo
  • Maintain client contact throughout the delivery of the event

Financial (30%)

  • Ensures all projects meet or exceed profitability targets
  • Track all event project budgets ensuring details are current, liaise with the accounts department to time line payments
  • Support Director of Events and Client Services by monitoring expo department time spent on projects to ensure they are in line with project hours
  • Raise and authorise SOWs
  • Ensure purchase orders are created and authorised for all supplier invoices prior to any purchases being made
  • Ensure Paprika is updated constantly with pitch status, budgets and maintain live information
