Job Description

Main Duties 

  • To attend client’s premises and to either advise upon, or ‘hold and conduct’ employee meetings. These meetings usually fall within disciplinary, grievance, capability or redundancy procedures, however other employee meetings may be required
  • To undertake mediation, conciliation and other employment relations services, as may be requested by clients from time to time
  • To provide advice, guidance and assistance to clients and keep in mind their requirement to act under the terms of the Irwell Insurance policy
  • To liaise as appropriate and with client instructions, with conciliation officers and claimant representatives and negotiate settlement agreements and/or to effect COT3 agreements
  • To prepare reports and other documentation as required at the conclusion of the assignment compliant with current employment law
  • To proactively ensure that case files are properly organised and maintained at all times in accordance with new and established practice as determined by the Company from time to time
  • To ensure that the HRFace2Face ‘closure procedure’ is completed immediately at the conclusion of the matter.

Skills and experience required

  • Strong HR advisory experience, ideally face to face
  • HR or Legal Degree
  • Good knowledge of employment law
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good typing skills
  • Ability to work under pressure within a fast moving performance driven environment.
